Q: Please tell us a bit about yourself and your family.

I grew up in the Holland area and went to Hillcrest Elementary, Holland Junior High and the George School for high school. Growing up, it was my parents, my sister, and me. My dad and sister are both dentists and my mom manages the dental business.. That family history definitely encouraged me to look into the field. My family is still close, and we have now added my beautiful fiancé to the mix. She is a very talented ER physician at St. Mary’s Hospital. We are planning to get married in May of this year.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career.

I went to Maryland for my first year of college and then did a dental program at Temple University. Then after that, I did an intern year for orthodontics in Las Vegas. During that time, I got accepted into residency and earned my MBA during my time there. I moved back to the Holland area in 2018. I worked with my dad as a cosmetic dentist for a while. He is a dentist in Feasterville. Eventually, I was able to take over Dr. Persichetti’s practice. It was a challenge to come in and earn the trust of patients who had loved Dr. Persichetti for so long. He was such a great guy and gave me so much guidance as I stepped into this role. Our practice has grown, and we now have two offices. One in Newtown and one in Holland.

When I was younger, I wanted to be an architect. I have a deep love for design. If you ever get a chance, come visit our Newtown office, I designed that entire space. Growing up, I observed my family in the dentistry field and started exploring those options. I thought about a career as a pharmacist, physician, and as a dentist. As I started looking, I found myself more drawn to dentistry and then to orthodontics. To me, orthodontics is where art meets science.

Q: What do you love most about what you do?

Something I have loved about orthodontics from the start was the ability to build relationships with patients.  We see them frequently throughout the year and really get to them which is why we treat everyone like family.  It is also so rewarding to get to help people build their confidence through their smiles. Whether they are grown adults or young kids still figuring out who they are, it is so gratifying! I love seeing people become more confident throughout the process. I love getting to look at the before and after and seeing the tremendous change and overcoming impossible scenarios with my patients. We have a lot of patients who come to us after visiting multiple other practices. We take on a good bit of those “Impossible scenarios”.  We love seeing people gain their smiles back.

Something else that is fun about orthodontics is the fact that there is still a core design element. Every patient is different and their needs are going to be different. I really like to be comprehensive in my explanation of my process and the options with patients so that they can feel confident about what is going on. Especially when there are multiple ways to do things, I want to walk the patients through the options and help design a treatment plan that is specific to their needs. I love that I still get to be creative every day in my job.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

East Africa for a Safari.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

I never really planned my life out.. I always tell my patients to look for opportunities because they are always there, it is just up to them to go after them.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

The top of the list would probably be Safari. I would say the list is really full of a lot of travel and life experiences. As a child, we traveled a lot. I am very grateful that my parents really wanted us to see the world and experience different cultures.

Q: What is your favorite band or music genre?

Usually, I listen to chill music – anything from Country to House and then if I am working out it is more upbeat music- anything from Hip Hop to house.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Oishi, Bomba’s Tacos, and Vecchia Osteria in Newtown and La Hacienda in Bensalem.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Hopefully, we will have a home in Bucks County. Maybe a kid… or three, maybe some real estate investments, optimizing more things in my life.

Q: What is something interesting that even your friends or family may not know about you?

I love to cook! I think I make some great eggs, burgers, and Mexican. I don’t have the time or energy that I would like for cooking, but when I do, I go all out.

Q: What is your favorite holiday and why?

New Year’s- We always do something for New Year’s. We usually try to do some sort of vacation then because it is a time that my fiancé and I can both get off. Last year we were able to go to Morocco and it was incredible.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

My fiancé and my parents. They inspire me to become the best version of myself.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?

Sandalwood and Oud, which is a scent in a lot of candles and colognes. It is the fragrant core of aquaria trees.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

I love old-world architecture, so I have loved Morocco, India, and Italy. In terms of natural beauty, I would say Redrock Canyon in Vegas or Arizona.

Q: Where can people find you or your business?

www.mysmileorthodontist.com

Q: What words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

Growth, love, and reaching your potential. That was always instilled in me as a child- reaching your potential. My parents always taught me that it was not about the end result, but about the hard work and preparation you put into it.
